Community Centre

Situated in Kalulushi is our community centre; we accept and appreciate individual differences, providing moral support, our centre is a place where children and youth with disabilities can express their creativity in warm and conducive setting.

Feeding Program

A feeding program for people with disabilities is conducted three times a week where we provide free meals for children and youth with disabilities. The meals are prepared by our deaf youth members, vegetables are grown on the property and utilized for the feeding program.

Special Education

Our Founder Kangwa Bwembya is a qualified special needs educator and sign language interpreter, she has a classroom on the property where she provides extra classes for children with special needs.

Gait training & Rehabilitation

Our outside gait training area allows people with physical disabilities to participate gait training after fitting of artificial limbs, as well as a training ground for children with disabilities to strengthen their core muscles and work on their balance.

Our sensory garden is a garden environment that is designed with the purpose of stimulating the senses. This stimulation occurs courtesy of plants and the use of materials that engage one’s senses of sight, smell, touch, taste, and sound.

Marissa Nel assists the foundation’s children with adaptive equipment from her workshop which is situated on the premises. She also provides Orthotic and Prosthetic services to the Copperbelt and all equipment and devices are manufactured on the premises. She provides learning opportunities for disabled youth training them in the field of Orthotic and Prosthetic device manufacturing.

Skills Development

The skills development area is equipped to train people with disabilities in the following:

  • Hydro Dipping
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Orthopaedic Technicians
  • Field workers
  • Care workers

Overnight facilities for volunteers and patients

The foundation have rooms available on the premises for volunteers who wish to stay with us. Through our volunteer program we help people find meaningful ways to contribute their time, skills and energy to uplift people with disabilities.
